David Houston is a qualified Chartered Accountant, who co-founded the firm of Houston Rooney Chartered Accountants in 1985. Houston Rooney is today a market leader in providing accountancy and tax services to freelance professionals in the UK.
In 1996 Houston Rooney began developing a broad client-base of European based freelancers and a network of European tax lawyers and accountants.
Continuing through to Global K, David uses this experience as Global K's Technical Co-ordination Director, providing European bound freelance contractors with tax and administration structures designed to maximise the contractor's net return from his contract while complying with all tax and legal burdens associated with working in a foreign location.

Ian Hannah C.A. |
Ian, another Scottish qualified Chartered Accountant, has been resident in Brussels since the 1980's, and brings to the Global K group his background in banking and finance, ten years experience in handling contractors' tax problems, and his local knowledge of the Benelux market and regulations.
Ian is the group strategist, identifying the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats which every business must be aware of to sustain and improve upon its position in its own market.

Morag Baxter B.A., C.A. |
Morag, another ex-Houston Rooney stalwart, is an accountancy graduate and registered auditor, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987 having trained with Houston Rooney since 1985.
Morag gained extensive financial reporting and tax knowledge during a spell with one of the big six (or big five, or four!) accountancy practices for three years, before returning to Houston Rooney to take up the position of finance director,
Morag joined Global K in 2001 and is in charge of the "back-office" function, ensuring that contractor's pay and tax is calculated accurately and more importantly, making sure that the contractor is paid as soon as the money hits our bank account!

Bob Sinclair |
David Houston and Bob Sinclair go back together to their student days of the late seventies, and when David co-founded Houston Rooney in 1985 Bob was the first full time employee, working in the audit and general practice side of the business.
Bob has been involved exclusively in contractors' financial matters since 1989 and since April 1994 he has been involved in business development in the contractors financial sector. A legend in his lifetime, Bob had a short spell with the internet accountants Ascot Drummond before joining Global K as Business Development Director early in 2001. Bob is the acknowledged comedian of Global K and has probably spoken to more contractors than anyone that we know.

Jacqui Ball |
Jacqui joined the Global K Group in the summer of 2003, and brings with her over 20 years of international experience, mainly in the diplomatic service.
Jacqui is the office manager of the group, and is also our resident expert on immigration and work permit issues, utilising her network of contacts from her life before Global K!
